Model Number: 110.72932100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
This gas dryer ignites the first time that it calls for heat, but then it will not ignite until 4-5 tries after. Prior to igniting, gas is smelled, but will not be smelled prior to a failed attempt to ignite. Parts replaced so far: Ignitor, flame sensor, and both gas valve coils. Is it the gas valve itself that needs to be replaced? What other possibilities could there be? Note that if the high limit thermostat and thermal fuse are jumpered, the dryer lights reliably, but of course with no high limit, it just keeps firing continuously until jumper is removed.
