The 3 plastic pieces on the glide drum for this dryer all broke off, causing it to ride on the lining itself for some time. I've bought a new glide drum and lower felt, but when I took the whole thing apart, the glide & felt were covered with rust... it turns out that there was a small rust spot on the edge of the drum itself (the part of the drum that rides on the glides) and since the glides all broke off and it was riding on the lining, it spread the rust around.

I'm already replacing the glide drum & lower felt. I've cleaned the edge of the drum, and it turns out that the rust spot it very tiny. My question is, what should I do about that rust spot? The enamel all along the edge of the drum (just the edge that rides on the glide) has been totally worn down to the steel.... totally smooth except the small rust spot.

Do I sand it down and repaint the edge? if so, what type of enamel should I use? Or, should I just sand the rust spot completely down to the steel and just leave it bare?

depending oh how bad it is.. has to be smooth just use steel wool and make it flush, if you have to paint it use
appliance enamel ( just be carefull you dont build it up too much!
