Default Automatic dryness setting not working
Brand: Roper   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a roper dryer which works fine on timed drying, but when I set it the automatic dryness setting it never seems to work. Is there a humidistat in this thing?

I have a roper model REX4636JQ0 dryer. The problem I am having is that the Auto Sense Drying feature does not work, need to run the clothes through this feature at least twice for them to be dry. This didn't happen before. Currently I use the timed drying feature hich works fine, but I would like to use the energy saving auto sense dry feature again. any insight would be apppreciated.

I have checked the vent and it had some lint buildup, but not much. No change after I cleaned it either.

Ben

Try to run a load on auto dry with the vent hose disconnected from the dryer.
