Hello there. I have a Maytag Gas Dryer, Model# MDG7658AWW. When the dryer starts, it makes a squealing sound that goes away in a little awile. Other then this problem, the dryer works fine.

I would like to get your advice on what parts are needed for this repair. Also since the dryer will be apart, can you advice if there is any preventative maintenance that I can do. e.g. chaning the belt, etc....

If you can provide a diagram or a written instruction, I would have confidence to try to repair this dryer myself.
Thank you.

It will most likely be the drum rollers or the idler pully. It would be best to replace the both and the belt. You can go to the Maytag Sercice Library to download a manual, or I could walk you through the repair. Tom
