Default Door switch went bad, jumped out, now dead.
Model Number: GEW9868KT2   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years   

Dryer door switch went bad. I jumped out. Now the whole thing is dead. No control panel lights. What should I check next?

Hi barbalew

I'm afraid when you jumped out the door switch it caused the damage to the control board.

Perform the troubleshooting according to the technical documentation to find out what is exactly wrong with the dryer.

- The part number for the control board AP3841286

- The part number for the door switch AP3132865

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model GEW9868KT2
