Having a problem with dryer tripping breaker when it heats up. Noticed it was a little warmer that usual. Dryer is just over a year old!

Sounds like a broken element or maybe a stand-off. As it heats up, it expands, and grounds with the chassis, tripping the breaker.

( way below the reccomended 30 amp circuits ) How long does the dryer run before the breaker trips ? You may want to remove the back panel, and check the wiring to the thermostats and heater element, and remove he element assembly and check to make sure none of the wires are touching or shorting to the chassis.Check and make sure the power cord connections at the terminal block are good and tight. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Good Luck,
:) :) :) It usually takes about 5-10 minutes before breaker is tripped. Breaker is new and all connections are good and tight.

Or a clamp on ammeter to test the amperage draw on the circuit and dryer ? Otherwise you'll need to start dismantling the dryer and check for shorted or pinched wires causing a short to chassis groung and tripping the breaker. Like I said before, you may want to unplug the power cord , move the dryer out and remove the rear panel/ cover and check the wires going to the heater and thermostats, and heater assembly attached to the inlet flue, and the insulators and terminals that attach the heater coil to the heater housing. :) :) :)
