General Electric DBLR333ET0WW Electric dryer
Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have this dryer and have just replaced the thermostat that mounts on the back of the drum assembly.
Here has been the problem:
In either the Automatic Cottons or Automatic Permanent Press cycles the dryer wants to keep running for very long times before the items actually dry. Some times it runs so long that the clothes are actually slightly shrunk when it finally finishes. Towels are the absolute worst and take forever to dry. The timer does move when I use the timed cycle and when the dryer is fairly empty it seems to run fine and dry okay. It seems the more that is filling the dryer the harder it is to get a happy medium with the automatic cycles. Also, I have had this apart and there are no blockages from lint. And I know that the elements do heat.
Any suggestions on what I can check next?
