Hi, I have a Kenmore dryer model 110.87873100. The motor starts then stops. I hear a click and it can restart. Is this a thermo stut off? And do you think replacing the motor is the thing to do? The motor seems slow even with no load on it.

It does sound like a motor problem.
If by "thermo shut off" you mean the motor's internal thermal protect then it could be if you have to wait several minutes fot the motor to cool down and the thermal protect to reset.

If you can restart it right away then I doubt it is the motor.
If this is the case I would check for a problem with the door switch or a loose wire.
