I have a very tight area to install my dryer. The dryer's cabinet has a pre-punched vent hole in the side that is the same size as the vent in the back. It looks like a 90 degree elbow could redirect the vent to the side. Does anyone know if this would be an approved change?

There's not much room to work inside the cabinet, unless you are able to fit a vent tube behind the motor. As long as your modification doesn't interfere with the belt pathway, or impede the rotation of the tumbler, there is nothing wrong with re-routing it.

Thanks, that's what I thought but I wanted another opinion. Thad Knowles
