Hi about 3 days ago my dryer stoped heating, i check voltage and everything had except for the thermostat.

so here i am trying to find a whirlpool dryer thermostat part # 32403960 which other thermostat can can replace this part since is impossible to find.

i dont know how to find the appliance model i got these numbers off the back of the dryer but i dont know what they mean.

I cannot comment on the above as you did not say what/where exactly you were measuring.
You are better off unplugging the unit and one side of the thermostat, then checking it with a meter using resistance. All thermostats should be 0 ohms.

If you do not have the actual wiring diagram take a look in the control console often there is a diagram in there.
