My Kenmore Elite evenheat. Total Care System, model# 110.60932990, serial # MJ4910478, has a nasty habit of stopping before the drying cycle is completed.

It will start immediately by pressing the start button (leads me to believe the motor is not overheated, the motor does not make a bumping sound when starting). I have checked the door switch, replaced the dryness control board and the timer, and cleaned the vent.

Still goes off and then Momma swears!

It has become a challenge, but I don't know what else to try. Any thoughts?

Very possible the problem is a bad thermistor which is located on the blower housing. I believe the test procedure is described in the tech sheets and you probably can find them inside the control panel.

After you choose a cycle, push the button below the number where it says "time remaining" so that it confirms that number. Otherwise, it stops when it just randomly decides it should be done. Mine has done that for a long time where it will only dry for 10-15 minutes for "normal" cycle when it should be closer to 30 some minutes. (Sorry been without a dryer for almost three weeks so I might be off on the number for that cycle. Hubby's working on replacing the control and touch pad as I'm typing. It was a $475 bill for parts and the $70 service call for them to check and tell us what parts to order.) Good luck & hope this helps. If you're already doing this, then I have no suggestions at all.
