Unhappy Dryer won't turn on
Model Number: Kirkland signature   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

A wire hanger got stuck right underneath the timer/selector knob. My wife pryed it out while the dryer was on. There was a short with a pop and flash. The dryer stopped working. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced or is it the timer switch since that's where the hanger was stuck. Please help. Thank you

Check the breaker box. The breaker probably tripped. After you verify this, shut power off and open up console and check the contacts in the timer. I suspect that they are burnt. You can clean them up with a finger nail file. Good Luck
