My dryer won't start, it just humms. I roll the dryer drum by hand and sometimes it starts. I thought something was stuck in the drum. No obstruction was found. Now when I get it to operate it sounds like the bearings have gone bad and a burning smell is obvious and it won't run a full drying cycle without automatically shutdown to cooldown it appears. My questions is should i replace everything from the electric motor, belt, and some pulley? Also, how hard is it to get to those componets? It seems i'll have to disassemble the whole machine.
