Gas dryer at our summer place worked fine last fall but will not start and run now. There is power to dryer as the inside drum light comes on when the door is opened. Drum will rotate by hand with some restance and there is no motor hum or sound when you push the timer in to start. I am reading it could be
a) the a blown thermal fuse but per the schematic I dont think the light would be working ? is that correct ?
b) also could be door switch but it seems it is also working since in the light comes on ?
c) the timer seems to feel OK when you rotate it but when you push it in to start the cycle I dont feel a click - does this mean the timer is shot ?
any other suggestions?

Open the control panel. Locate the terminals "M" & "8" on the timer. Using an insulated wire, short these terminals for a second to see if the dryer will start. If it did, replace the timer. - The timer Part number: AP4038985
