I bought on your website all weareable parts to rebuild the dryer and I'm assembling it now. I want to know if lubrication is required for the new rollers and idler bearing. Serching in the web I found out contradicting instructions: lubricate with 3 in 1 oil, with lithium grease, don't lubricate at all because it will attract lint and damage the bearing, it is permanently lubricated at manufacture...
What's the right answer?

As you have found out different folks have different opinions.
Here is mine.
I would not use grease as it will just be pushed out of the bearing surfaces over time and become a lint collector.
The rear bearings are are usually oilite type so should not require lubrication.
Not sure about the idler wheel.

In any case I always put a drop or two of 3 in 1 or any good oil on the shafts when replacing these parts. As long as you do not go crazy with the oil it will not cause a problem and does help the parts wear in properly.
