Model Number: LEA50AW Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
My dryer was not heating. After testing and replacing most of the electrical parts. I found a short. It was a orange wire running from the fabric selector switch to the timer. It was burnt at the timer. I spliced the wire and reconnected it. How ever, it only gets hot on time dry. It does not heat on auto dry. Do I need to replace the timer? or is there some thing else I can do?

Before replace any parts I would recommend to run a few tests as described in the repair manual.
- Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana dryer Model LEA50AW Good luck. Gene.
