I have a Kenmore 400 series dryer that is not powering on. I have got it to come on and dry a full cycle a few times by setting the timer around the 50 min timer setting. If you move the timer once it starts it shuts off. Any other time setting will not let the dryer power on. Dose it sound like the timer is bad?

Make: Kenmore
Model: 400 series
Model#: 11067422600

Already Tried:
checked the breaker, unplugged and left it unplugged for 30 mins, plugged it back in and checked all the wires on the timer and the main power cable coming in the back of the dryer for lose conection.

Yes it does sound like a timer problem.

See the attachment for the wiring diagram.

Look like the motor circuit only uses one set of contacts on the timer (Bu/Bk).
Set the timer to an operating position and try to start it.
If it does not start, unplug the unit and measure across the BK/BU timer contacts with a meter, should be 0 ohms. If they are open then the timer is toast.

Be sure to disconnect the wires to either the Bu or Bk to ensure that you do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path.
