You have to have a simple multimeter to perform some tests and feel comfortable to work with the live power. If you don't feel comfortable, then you have to hire a pro to do it for you.

Remove the terminal block cover on the back of the dryer. While the dryer is plugged in, check for 120 VAC between the Red & White wires and the Black & White wires at the terminal block. Check for 240 VAC between the Red & Black wires.
If the voltage is incorrect, then there is some electrical problem outside the dryer. If the readings are correct, check the door switch for continuity when the door is open and closed. Open the control panel and check the push-to-start switch for continuity wile the button is depressed. Post the results. Gene. P.S. Open the breakdown diagrams and scroll down the left side menu to the wiring diagram.
