One of the ways to observe the gas valve operation on this unit, start the dryer and let it run approximately 10 minutes, you can then remove the 2 phillips head screws in the lower portion of the front panel, pull the bottom of the panel out a couple of inches, don't unhinge the top of the panel. When the thermostat cycles, you should hear a click, the glow bar igniter should start to glow, in a few seconds the glow should start to fade and the gas should be ignited and your flame appear. If there is no glow, suspect a weak, broken igniter, or inoperative flame sensor. If the glow appears but never fades, suspect a bad flame switch. If the glow appears and fades, but there is no flame ignition, suspect the gas valve coils. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Hi,
Following your instruction, I have check the gas Dryer: 1. I hear a click, then 2. the glow appears and fades, then 3. I see flame for about 5-10 second 4. hear a click again, the flame stopped.
The 1. 2. 3. 4 will repeat every couple of minutes. Please help me to check.
Thanks, Al

Great help form you and thanks again, Al Al, My mistake, I should have told you to check and clean the exhaust venting system, first(if you hadn't already). A restricted vent system will cause the hi limit switch to cycle open. My mistake, Good Luck, :) :) :)

Hi,
I sent the message too early. The problem has not been fixed: Since after removed the "high limit thermostat", the problem was gone. I thought that that part was the problem. But After replaced the parts and mounted it back. Problem still there.
Could you tell me how to clean the "exhaust venting system"?
Can I returned that "high limit thermostat"?
Thanks, Allen

Thanks, Allen Allen, If it's too long to clean by hand, I use a small plumbers snake(25'longX1/4"shaft) with a rag attached to the end, slip the snake in the pipe from the vent hood, attach a shop towel to the end and turn the handle and pull the snake back out, carefully. There are other methods, some people use a leaf blower and there are vent cleaning companys, as well. Good Luck, :) :) :)
