I'm still trying to figure this out. Opened the front of the dryer. Found that the white wire was broken. This goes from the switch , to what appears is the light. Does it go anywhere else? Would this have anything to do with my problem of the dryer not wanting to run after releasing the start knob?:confused:
Any ideas?

Do not have a wiring diagram for this unit.
But on most units one set of contacts (Normally Closed) go to the interior light turns the light on when the door opens
The other set (Normally Open) goes to the motor, shuts the motor off when the door is opened.
So depending on the wiring it could cause your problem. |
