If the belt is broken then the dryer would not start because of the broken belt switch (#5 on the diagram). The switch itself can be bad as well. Remove the front panel and the lint duct (#45 on the diagram) and check the thermal fuse (#59) for continuity. - The drive belt Part number: AP2911808 - The broken belt switch Part number: AP3094230 - The thermal fuse Part number: AP3133489 If thermal fuse is open, replace the cycling thermostat too. Alsop make sure the vent line is clean all way through the vent outlet. - The cycling thermostat Part number: AP3131939 Gene.
