Dryer Repair

Ok, so my not so bright brother-in-law replaced the belt on the dryer we now have. It's been less than 1 month since he's done this. Now the drum have clear metal to metal rubbing damage, and it sounds horrible. I have the dryer apart at the moment. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this mistake. I have been told that it was not making the noise before the belt was replaced.

Sounds like he did not get the belt on correctly around the pulley. Check the diagrams at the top of this page for how it should go.

there are drum guides under drum they go bad and it will be metal on metal they are about 6.00 a piece and pretty easy to replace
