Dryer Repair

Dryer runs great and heats up fine... just started stopping halfway through loads... if you open it up and rotate the drum you are able to start it up again...

Dryer is a Frididaire Gallery Heavy Duty-XL Capacity 2-way Tumble Action dry... wondering if this could be a belt, motor, or overheating... curious what to do to be able to fix... Is it cost effective to fix problem or get new dryer.

It sounds like the motor is overheating and shutting off. I would open it up and clean everything out, so that air is flowing good. If it has air flow through the door into the filter, clean that out as lint tends to develop there.

If it continues to be a problem, then the motor is probably in the process of failing and I am not one on changing out motors, so I think a new one is the better choice.

Dryer runs great and heats up fine... just started stopping halfway through loads... if you open it up and rotate
