Good afternoon. I have a Whrilpool Dryer MOD# LER4434AQ0 that is not producing heat. I checked the wiring and fuse and all is good. My question is "How do I get the Heater Box off so I can get to the Heating Element". I got the clip off the top but still can't move it. I appreciate any help you can give.

You access the heater by taking off the rear panel. First check to see that you are getting 120v to each side of the connection block, then disconnect the power and take off the back.

You will see two safety fuses on the heater housing. Check them for continiuity and if they are ok, check the resistence on the heater coil, ought to be 10 to 13 ohms.

If a safety fuse is bad (open) replace both and thorough clean out the lint chute and every place else you find lint.

I did get the heater housing off. The only two items I see on the hosing is the Thermal cut-off and I think the other is the Thermostat. Is this what you mean when you say " two safety fuses" and if so should they both have continiuity? because the bottom one does but the top one is open.

They are both safety thermal fuses, the thermostat is at another place.

They both should have continuity, so replace both as a set, clean it out and you should be all set.
