Model no. 417.99680210 I just bought a used kenmore stacked w/d. After delivery I noticed the start knob had been glued on. I'm assuming that I need to replace the start switch. The problem I'm currently having is that I don't know how to get the end caps off to get into the control panel. I took out the screws, but they won't just pop off still, and I'm afraid I'm going to break them. Can someone help with the endcaps and let me know if my assumtion about replacing the switch is correct. Any help will be appreciated.

had to push down on caps to be able to pull out, and had to take off front panel first. I took out the switch and used a tiny drill bit to drill a slot-void so I can use a flat head screwdriver to turn it on temporarilly until I get the new switch. Damn I'm crafty
