I own a Maytag dryer (Model: MDE9306AZW) and recently it started to act up by not turning off. No matter what setting it was put at it seemed like the timer was not working on the dial. The dryer works well otherwise and if its minor fix, I would like to fix it. I would like to know what is wrong and what part is needed to get this machine back to proper working order.
Thanks

Your timer has a low amp electric motor that advances it, so if it is not advancing in all cycles that motor is not working. If you take off the console you will see two black wires connected to the motor. Check and clean the connections, and if that does not fix things try replacing the timer. Never do any of this work with the dryer plugged in, and always put the console back together before testing the machine. Here is the timer. Part number: AP4043821

Thank you for responding, this doesn't appear to be a difficult task for me to complete.
