Hi There,
I have an issue with my dryer not turning off when the door is opened. I have a Kenmore Elite.
The dryer was originally not heating up. The ignitor unit was replaced and it heats good now. However after this new ignitor unit was installed the dryer will not turn off when door is opened. The dryer never had this issue before the ignitor issue.
Three different door switches were tried and it will not fix the issue so I know it is not the door switch.
The dryer will turn off when the door is opened before the ignitor unit turns on and starts blowing flame or if it is opened during the ignitor cyling time when it is not blowing flame but it will not turn off while the ignitor is blowing flame.
Could this be a short somewhere?
Please help!
