Default GAS Dryer Problem
Model Number: MDG9316AWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

WE have checked the exhaust duct and it is clear. The dryer heats for about 10 to 15 minutes and then stops heating. The gas flame ignits but goes out in about 10 to 15 minutes into the cycle. It still tumbles, however.

Hi MISS

If the flame ignites only a few times at the beginning and then the igniter glows but the gas does not coming out, then the problem is a bad coils on the gas valve. Replace them and the problem solved.

The set of the coils

- The part number for the set of the gas valve coils AP3094251

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dryer Model MDG9316AWW

Good luck.
Gene.
