Dryer Repair

Help. My Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care Gas Dryer does not work. It heats, however the drum does not turn. The dryer came with the house. Is this simple to repair? Can a girl do it? Would this be worth repairing or is it better to purchase a new one?

It is worth fixing. You have a broken Belt.

Tools for this repair. a Philips screw driver and 5/16 nut drive.

AP2911909 this is your part number and It also comes with the

rear rollers. belt comes with the instructions and how to replace it.

Just a note to thank you for your assistance in diagnosing the problem with my Kenmore Dryer

You were absolutely correct ! All the dryer needed was a new belt...and I almost went out and purchased a new unit.

We replaced the belt and the dryer is working properly.
