The agitator on my Kenmore washer feels a liitle loose and is a bit noisy. No grinding noies, just clicking Works fine. Is there a problem? The washer is only 2 years old. Any ideas?

MNmoose,

A couple of possibilities.

If the clicking noise is from the upper area of the agitator, the noise is probably normal, the agitator "dogs" are clicking and that occurs and is normal, as long as the auger(screw) shaft of the agitator will move in one direction only, You're OK.

It could also be the agitator is slipping on the agitator shaft coupling, but That doesn't occurr that often on a relatively new washer.

To check the coupling, grasp the bottom of the agitator, and lift up sharlpy to disengage the agitator from the coupling.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)
