Model Number: LGR6620PT0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello,
The other day when we tried to dry a load of laundrythe dryer powers on but does not spin and there is no heated air coming in? About a week ago our son dryed a large load that was too wet but he didn't know better, could this have contributeds Hoping to be able to fix this myself as we do not have the money to purchase a new unit. With 4 kids the laundry is piling up quick! Thanks for the help, Mike Ads By Google Related Models |

You should probably start by checking / replacing the thermal fuse, Part number: AP3132867 Based on your post, that's where I'd start. If that fuse is an open circuit, due to an overheat problem, the motor wont run, if the motor wont run, the dryer wont heat/dry. Good Luck,

Now I'm wandering if I mis understood you ? There is no "belt switch" in the circuitry,or parts diagram, and now it sounds like the motor runs but the drum doesn't tumble. I'm sure there's some excess stress, strain on the belt, But I think you can get by without a new one for a while longer, at least,if that's the case. You should dismantle the machine, check the condition of the belt, and circuit check the thermal fuse(should be a closed circuit all the time) and we can go from there.
