Model Number: EED4300VQ1 Brand: Estate Age: 1 - 5 years
my dryer does not heat up, the drum turns but the cycle knob is not moving. I check the circuit breaker and the plug is in there is air flow going through the vent.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL EED4300VQ1 29`` ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the wiring diagram. Place the unit in timed dry, now does the timer advance. If not then odds are you have a power problem as this unit's timer gets power directly from the 240 volts in timed dry. The heater also uses 240. If it does advance then it could be that the heater is open. In auto modes the timer motor gets power through the heating coil when the coil is shut off so if the heater burns out the timer will not advance. No advance in timed dry Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! Applianceaid Video looks good but there are a couple comments on it 1. Do not like to see connectors pulled off by using the wire. 2. Although they do it they do not say to replace the wires on the components before moving onto the next device, otherwise you can end up with a bunch of wires and no idea where they go.
