Model Number: SDG505DAWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
What I think is a fuse thermal part on my gas dryer, is about the size of a dime, sits on top of heat tube, has two wires connected to it, keeps tripping the current breaker. So I disconnected the wires from the prongs and tied them together. But, my wife thinks the heat does not stay on long enough to completely dry the clothes. My question is: Does this fuse thermal part, that sits on top of the heat tube, necessary for the "timing" of the heat to stay on properly for each cycle? Thanks.
