My dryer will turn on if I work with the switch, it seems to catch and then turn on, not all the time however, then the turn off signal comes on and it turns off immediately. Please help.

The model number for the inglis dryer is IED4400309. It will not run. I have to work with the switch and sometimes when I push start button, it runs for a second, then the off noise comes on and it goes off.

Which switch are you working with? The push to start, or the Timer? Also still can not get the model your providing to work.

Jeff, thanks so much. It is the timer and the last few days I have worked with it and got it to come on when I push the switch and dryed completely through the cycle. It sounds like a short or something in the timer. What do you think?

Yes it sounds like a bad timer. I can get the IED4400 to work but I will need the last three letters to get you the correct timer for your unit. It should be letters not numbers.
