I have had the the dryer in the repair shop twice because it only blows cold air both times they tested it and said it was the hi limit thermostat. They repaired it and it worked great for about 15 min. I checked all the vents and they were completely clean. I have replaced it again since then and it worked great for one load then went out again. Is their something else that could cause this other than the vents being clogged. Thanks Mark

A model number may help others help you.
Are you sure it was the hi-limit thermostat? Does not make sense that they would keep blowing. If an over heating situation occurs the hi-limit should open and then close again. There is usually a thermal cut-out (fuse) for the heater, this would be much more likely.
I am assuming the unit runs OK but has no heat on any setting. |
