Bought this from lowes as a Scratch and Dent.

Has power to board. You can select cycle,it beeps, board shows timer, etc.
Drum light comes on when door is open, off when closed.

But when 'start" is pressed, nothing happens.

Thermal fuse / limiter checks OK.(Shows continuity, 0.00 reading).

I don't have any paperwork for it. Playing around, I found that if i press and hold the "select" button and "cancel" at the same time, the board reads "rE5".

I can't find any reference to frigidaire dryer fault codes, so maybe that means nothing. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong....

Is there a fault code system for this dryer?

Where else can I look for the problem?

Should I go as far at this point as seeing if there power being sent to the motor?

ANY advice is greatly appreciated!

Look for your service sheet, should be behind the front panel. Also when checking components always unplug one wire from it to get a proper reading.

Thanks.
There is no paperwork. None behind the front panel.
Manual from frigidaire site is useless.

Dryer has been running fine for almost a year.

I did unplug both wire to the limiter when tested.

Any suggestions?

Verify you have 230 volts to the terminal block at the back of dryer. If ok, check for power to the control board, should be labeled where the power goes in the board.
Also, check your thermal fuse on the blower housing. If everything checks ok, replace the control board. Click on your model # to get the part.
