This dryer works well in all functions except - the heating element does not turn off in the 'cool down' section of the timer. It stays on full until the complete cycle is finished and the dryer shuts off.

Just did one with the same problem just a different unit, see the following.

In your case the timer contacts would be timer switch 2.
