heat element
Model Number: GEW9868KQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I replaced heat element and cutoff-tml. the heat element turns on and off during a cycle. is this normal

Yes. This is normal. That's what you hear as the cycle continues. The thermostats are turning the element off and on to regulate the temperature.
