Model Number: 110.87681100 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
Our Kenmore dryer has been making a very loud banging noise for several months now. It sounds like there is a watermelon tumbling around inside. The clothes still dry in about the same amount of time as before, but the noise is getting louder. Any ideas what it could be and whether a novice could fix it?

One of your rear rollers is bad, just remove front panel and drum and check. Click on your model # to get parts. You will usually just need to replace roller and not shaft. Assemble with non-detergent oil.
