Dryer Repair

The dryer works well with a light load, but it does not work at all with a full load. This dryer is pretty old, but it has been working great. I'dlike to fix it...I was thinking that it could be the belt that lost tension...But I'm really a novice at fixing most anything. Thanks in advance.

Gene,

Yes, it does make noise whit the full load. Like it is trying to get started, but can't. With the light load, it works well. Thanks again for your reply. Jose.

Most probably a bad motor.AP3094245

Usually bearings run out of oil, or the start winding burns. You can pull the motor and bench test it by sticking 115 volts to pins 4&5.
