Here is what's going on...

Dryier starts, igniter lites, gas valve comes on and lites, runs 20-30 sec. and then cuts out on high limit. (220-40 F high temp limit opens).

Took apart, cleaned, cut some of the air down until good blue flame and now it will run for a min or two and then cycles off the valve and then comes back on.

Checked out gas pressure when the valve opens and ignites and it is about 2-2.5" in W.C.

So, here are my questions:

Is it normal for the unit to cycle the burner on and off?

What is the normal/typical discharge temp out of the back of the dryier?

What is a normal/typical temp inside the dryier?

What else should I be checking for?

Yes, it is normal for a dryer heating element (gas or electric) to cycle "on" and "off".

Is it anything wrong with the dryer now? Why do you need to check anything?

Gene.
