My dryer will not shut off or advance in any of three available cycles. It does shut off when I open the door. Clother are being dried fine in all cycles.

Open the control panel and check the resistor connected to the timer motor. Normally it suppose to be about 5000 Ohms. Post the results.
You missed the end of the model number. Verify and repost it.

Gene,
Thanks for the input. I called one of your other depts for some help on another issue and they asked me what the problem was......They told me I needed a timer and sent one out....got it today. Haven't opened the box yet so I confused on which route to take.
If I go your route(since your the tech that makes sense) what tool do I need to check the OHMS?

You can use any ohmmeter.
