Does the igniter glow or it does not do anything?

it does not glow, have checked fuse and sensor. how do I check the coils

Gene it does not glow. I dont think I'm getting power to the gas unit. I unplugged the connector from the two wires that go to the gas unit, plugged it in and checked for power with my meter and did'nt get anything. What now?
