Posted on Monday as Dryer stalls-Expert replayed "sounds like bad motor". Got replacement parts last nite; so, started to work today. Tested motor by the book and tested as ok. Tested start switch- it tested ok. When I took front panel off, the motor was covered in lint. Dryer will run without a load;but, slower than normal. Do you thank the motor still should be replaced? Thanks BellewB:confused:
PS. Forgot say, even though the dryer starts, there is a loud hum when the dryer is started.

Thanks again, put the new motor in and all is working fine. Is there any core value to the old motor?

Not like in auto parts. You might try selling it for the copper in it.
