The start button on our Kenmore dryer will not stay engaged. Any ideas? Also if you hold the button down it will run but will not heat. Thanks!

Beeco,

Did you have a problem with the buzzer staying on ?

Basically,

I have to think you have one of two problems :

Broken or loose wires at the motor connections

Or a bad motor.

I would have to think the start switch as the least likeliest problem, as it is out of the circuit once the motor starts to run.

Since the dryer motor switch, completes the heat circuit, when it enters the run circuit, and you have no heat, as well, that indicates a problem in the motor and or wiring at the motor.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)
