Black wire from motor to bottom of heating element keeps melting in half right at the connection to the element. Repaired twice. Runs OK for a couple days then melts again. Why please.

Could be a bad thermostat. Test the exhaust temperature as it cycles and tell us what the average high temp is before it cycles off. You might try replacing that particular wire with high-temperature wire made for ovens.
