I am not positive how old the dryer is because we bought it used. We have opened up the back of the dryer and found that the front part of the support holding the drum is broken. Therefore, now when we turn it on it makes a horrible beating sound. The heat was also working fine before this noise and now there seems to be no heat or maybe less heat? I am trying to figure out if the part that is broken will fix my problem and what it is called. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the parts breakdown which should help you identify the part.

If the drum was slowing down the motor you may have blown the thermal cut-off on the heater and therefore have no heat.
