I recently replaced my timer thinking that was my problem. My dryer will shut off in the middle of the drying cycle. Sometimes I will notice it wants to shut off but picks back up. It was still doing it since I put the new timer on there so I decided to test it. I set the timer to 60 minutes and pushed it to start. This time, as often happens, the dryer didn't turn on at all. I went back in about an hour later and sure enough the timer had run its course to 0 minutes. What other components can I check to see what the problem may be? Door? Motor? Any help is appreciated.

Check the wiring terminal where the power cord is connected to the dryer. Make sure the connections aren't loose. Also, make sure there are no restrictions or obstructions in the ventilation. Make sure it's clear from the dryer to the outside of the house. The air flow should be as strong exiting the outside vent as it is leaving the dryer. If the vent hose you use is one of those flexible ones, make sure it isn't kinked.
