I have a Maytag DE712 eletric dryer with a bad heating element. I don't know how hard it is to replace the element itself. I'm generally pretty handy with things though. It seems that either way, i need to remove the entire assembly, either to replace the entire thing, or to open it to replace just the heating element. Any advice? Element is $30, assembly is $60.
