Our dryer was making a squealing sound that has now turned into a grinding sound. What could this be and how do we get to the parts that need to be replaced?

How do we get to the bearing? From the back of the dryer or the front?

From the front Release the clips on top with a putty knife then remove inside screws holding front panel on then set panel aside release the belt, grab hold of belt still around drum and pull up it may be hard cuz it's so worn. Then install new bearing on drum pre thread holes on bearing use a 5/16 hex self tapping screw then use phillips they suppy after the hole is tapped then put plastic bearing in rear grease it good save grease for later. reinstall drum assemble in reverse order then once a year grease the rear bearing if you do that it will last a long time. There is also a steel ball bearing in the plastic holder watch how it comes out you need that to keep static electricity down. The part number you need is frigidaire 5303281153 This site can cross it over to thier part number
